Description
One-of-a-Kind 2004 Air Jordan 19’s made specifically for Mike Bibby himself, in expectation of his placement on that years All-Star team. Ultimately, Mike did not get placed on the All Star team that year, eliminating the need to produce any more copies of that particular shoe for him. These shoes have been personally owned by Mike himself and were given directly to Athlete Assets, ensuring complete provenance of the real item.
The physical shoes include with it a 1/1 NFT that is used as the shoes “digital certificate of authenticity”. The custom NFT features a 3D model artistic rendition of the shoes (without logos) that can be rendered and explored using augmented reality functionality on most smart phones. It also includes a high-resolution video of Mike briefly explaining what the shoes are and how they came to be in existence. The NFT artwork and content can be viewed by anyone, but only one person can “own” the collectible and physical item.
Why Ravencoin for the NFT?
Ravencoin (RVN) is approximately 4 years old and is a blockchain protocol that was specifically designed for digital assets, or “NFT’s” in general. However, like many of the alternative protocols that can assist in some variation of NFT’s, Ravencoin embodies many of the same ethos and value of Bitcoin. The protocol was fairly-launched with NO ICO, NO Pre-Mine, and NO Founder’s Rewards. These key factors along with many other make Ravencoin an ideal network to create, store, and transact NFT’s and digital assets. Check out MangoFarmAssets.com for a free wallet capable of receiving these premium types of digital assets.
Where does the artwork exist?
All of the artwork you see is stored or more appropriately stated, “persistently pinned” using RavencoinIPFS.com. This means the content (such as the model, video, pdf, etc.) is made available through a globally distributed system called IPFS. Owners of the collectible and its NFT should download the content and also “persistently pin” the content so it is made redundant and you can personally ensure it is available. Athlete Assets will continue to host content with RavencoinIPFS for the foreseeable future but can not guarantee hosting in perpetuity. It is the responsibility of the collector to ensure the content is preserved.
